When I was a kid, "recitals" were always a horror experience for me. I worked so hard on a song and I only had one chance to play it in front of people and get it right. Not to mention, I had no idea what it was like to play music when I was nervous. It's safe to say, they were never pretty.
Every 3-4 months, my students have the opportunity to take a song that we've worked on and bring it into a professional recording studio. We spend an hour or two experiencing what it's like to go through the recording process. It's kinda my version of a "recital" except a lot less pressure. You get the nerves of having a microphone and multiple cameras in front of you, but we do multiple takes if we need to, to get the perfect take and memory of the song you've been working so hard on. Below, you'll find some of my favorites from the past year. Enjoy!
